Why should I join the PTA?
Being a member of the PTA is a great way to get involved at the school, stay informed, share your ideas, and make your voice heard. It's also a good way to meet other parents at the school and get to know the school's teachers and staff!
What does the money raised by the PTA go toward?
The money goes toward school necessities like school supplies, campus upgrades, assembly speakers, and teacher/staff appreciation. By being a member of the PTA, you’ll have a say in how these funds are utilized for the school.
How often does the PTA meet?
PTA meetings are once a month on the first Thursday from 6-7 pm. Attending the monthly meetings is not required but highly encouraged.
What is the time commitment to be a PTA member?
Time commitments vary based on your schedule and what you can contribute. Whether you can contribute 10 hours a month or 1 hour a month, any time you can contribute will be helpful and appreciated!
Who can join a PTA?
Parents, grandparents, teachers, staff, caregivers, guardians, and community members.
Do I need PTA experience to join?
Not at all! We welcome anyone to join regardless of PTA experience.
Are PTAs all about fundraising?
Not at all! While fundraising is a big focus so we can raise money to support the students and school, we also plan free school events to create a sense of community for the students, parents, and teachers.
